Day 01: Arrive Srinagar
On arrival at the Srinagar Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle. From the airport it is a 35 minutes drive through the heart of New Srinagar city. The drive takes you past the Abdullah bridge which connects the banks of the Jehlum river, snaking its way towards the North-Western frontier of Kashmir. Arrive and check in at Hotel/Houseboat. After local sightseeing of Srinagar which include the Mughal Gardens, visiting Chashma Shahi. All the Mughal gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background. Dinner and Overnight stay in the Hotel/Houseboat.
Day 02: Srinagar-Sonamarg-Srinagar (Day Trip)
After breakfast full day tour of Sonamarg which is one of the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. Sonamarg is at 98kms from Srinagar. We will take about 3 hours to reach Sonamarg. Situated at an altitude of 2743 m above sea level, Sonamarg is absolutely true to its name, which means ‘Meadow of Gold’. The moment you enter Sonamarg, the first thing that you will notice will be the snow-covered mountain that forms the backdrop of the town. Covered with alpine trees from all sides, Sonamarg has few of the loveliest flower collection in Jammu and Kashmir. You may take a pony ride (at your own cost) to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. In the evening we return to the Srinagar Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03 : Srinagar – DoodhPathri – Srinagar (Day Trip)
After breakfast. Drive to DoodhPathri. It is approximately 47 km from the Srinagar. DoodhPathri is yet another bowl shaped valley. It is a recent discovery in the valley covered with the green carpeted small meadow set in the heart of mountains to the south-west of Srinagar. It is an ideal picnic spot. A two hour drive from Srinagar (47 kms) will take you to acres upon acres of grassy meadow ringed by forests of pine, and towering beyond them, awesome and majestic snow clad mountains. A flowing river resounds with soft wind passing through the pine trees of the enclosures of the valley. It is also called as a “VALLEY OF MILK” because it produces rich milk in a large quantity. The shepherds from different areas travel to this place along with their cattle’s and stay there for days together. This area is also connected to Gurez valley on its north. A full day tour to DoodhPathri with some packed lunch will definitely be a bonus of your visit to Kashmir. In the evening we return to the Srinagar Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04: Srinagar – Pahalgam (Night Stay)
After Breakfast we check out at the hotel in Srinagar and drive to Pahalgam . On arrival check-in at the hotel. Pahalgam (The valley of shepherds) on the National Highway 1A. This road connects the Valley to the rest of the country. We drive past the saffron fields of Pampore, the marvellous ruins of Avantipura and the village of Bijbehara which remains famous as the bread basket of Kashmir. You can even sample a few exotic breads sold by vendors near the road. We switch the the national highway at Khanabal and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag. From here the road turns scenic as we drive parallel on the Lidder river flowing from the opposite direction. En-route, visiting the saffron fields of Pampore, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by the King Awantivarman), and enjoy the beautiful countryside. Drive through the pine forests. Arrive at Pahalgam and enjoy Lidder stream. Later walk along pony trails with a magnificent view of the mountains. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 05: Pahalgam – Gulmarg (Night Stay)
After breakfast we check-out at the hotel in pahalgam & drive to Gulmarg, On arrival check in at the Hotel. Gulmarg is Originally called ‘Gaurimarg’ by shepherds, its present name was given in the 16th century by Sultan Yusuf Shah, who was inspired by the sight of its grassy slopes emblazoned with wild flowers. It was a favorite haunt of Emperor Jahangir who once collected 21 different varieties of flowers from here. Today Gulmarg is not merely a mountain resort of exceptional beauty but also a the highest green golf course in the world, at an altitude of 2,650 m, & is the country’s premier ski resort in the winter. Also known as the “Meadow of Wild Flowers”. After Noon we have a full day Sightseeing in Gulmarg. It is one of the most beautiful resorts in the valley. It is 52kms from Srinagar. Gulmarg has been a resort for the kings like Yousuf Shah Chak and Jahangir who used to visit frequently. Gulmarg boasts Asia’s highest and longest cable car project, the Gulmarg Gondola. The two-stage ropeway ferries about 600 people per hour to and from Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of nearby Afarwat Peak, 4,200 m (13,780 ft). You can also try skiing on your own. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and also has highest golf course in the world with 18 holes. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 06: Gulmarg-Srinagar (Day Trip)
After breakfast we travel back to Srinagar. In the afternoon enjoy a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake and in the evening you can go for Shopping in the local market. Overnight stay at the Hotel/House Boat.
Day 07: Srinagar Airport
After breakfast time free till departure. Transfer by car to Srinagar airport for departure to next destination.
